This is all from the 2012 - 2013 school year. I am extremely proud of all of these students! Good luck in third grade!!
Dear Second Graders,
I will miss each one of you very much! Good luck in third grade next year. Enjoy our end-of-year video!

June, 2013 - See what we learned about the life cycle of a frog!

3/27/13 - We made a class book called And to Think That I Saw it on Chapin Street! We tried to make it like Dr. Seuss's silly and creative writing. Check it out!

3/4/2013 - This is our Google slide show about nonfiction text features. Students had to choose a text feature, find the picture, paste it onto their slide, and tell about how it helped them read and learn from nonfiction. Then they got to play around with the colors and fonts on their own slides! What fun!

2/28/2013 - Here is a practice Google slide show we did. Students had to copy and paste a picture onto their own slide and write about their favorite color.

12/2012 - This is a Slide Rocket presentation about Holiday Traditions Around the World by Rooms 3 and 4. Students researched many different holiday traditions, from China, the Netherlands, Mexico, and Australia, just to name a few! At home, they designed and created a poster, which was graded with a rubric. Students had to present their poster to the class. The classes worked together in small groups to make a slide using Google Slide Rocket. They wrote facts about their holiday tradition and their voices were recorded onto each slide. Parents and other classes came to our "museum tour". A special thanks to Mrs. Corrieri for organizing this and recording our voices!

10/25/12 We had a fun time Skyping with Ms. Horst's class in Ontario, Canada! We discussed our visualizations, predictions, and favorite characters from the book The One and Only Ivan, by Katherine Applegate. A special thanks to Mrs. for finding us a class to learn and explore with!
Here is a link to a quick write-up on what we did!

9/2012 - Here is an Animoto that played during Open House. It shows what we did during our first couple weeks of second grade!
